The Eye Of A Clown

I tried to create water and the illusion of the scariest place ever, which is the deepest parts of hell in the ocean and the fear of being trapped under iced and being a discarded child reaching out. This particular still life was an experiment to create a conceptual idea of a child needing help but being trapped under very transparent layers. It almost seems like the truth is right there, but it’s very difficult to see. It’s very strategy-oriented — find the hole, get out — and it’s very deep. The ocean’s so scary to so many people, and it’s so dark, like, what’s down there? This is the deepest fear of the unknown and maybe the biggest cry of help that is unheard.
