The Eye Of A Clown

There are two techniques that I work on a lot and this is one of them. If I were to get my stuff out to the world all over the place hopefully you would look at it and say, “Oh, this is a Shawn Crahan piece” just by what I employ to create the vision that I want to convey.

I’m not gonna explain this one much. Just use your own imagination. I’ll just say that I wanted to create something that was somewhat romantic and sexual to the point of breaching death more or less.

This was a still life, so it’s something that I made and had to shoot over and over until I got to the point where I had created what I saw. It’s just a question of seeing things with the largest muscle in your body, your brain, and opening up your mind and trying to get output. And I felt I got real close to what I wanted. And I’m continuously experimenting with pushing it further and further and further and further all the way down the wormhole.
